Speedriding is a new racy combination of skiing and flying. Attached to a special kite, skiers or snowboarderscan glide or float down a slope, taking off in order to avoid obstacles and touching down as theyplease. Speedriding is highly attractive for pros, expert freeriders, snowkiters and pilots looking for theultimate in adrenaline kicks!JN produced the first kite ever especially developed for speedriding, the JN Hellracer. Neither a smallglider nor a parachute or kite, Hellracer is built for maximum stability at very high speed. It won the 2007Brand New Award in all categories. So how did JN manage to come up with an even better model just one year later? We did thanks to agroundbreaking new invention in zipper technology: 13m² kites can now be reduced to a smaller 11m².With the serial trimmers, Hellracer 2 in 1 can be used at almost every slope angle or wind condition. Thatmakes two sizes in one: 13/11m² and 15/13m². Also, using the new serial risers with trimmers the glideratio can be adjusted from 2:1 to 4:1. The basic shape of JN’s Hellracer has been optimized for perfectfilling during take-off. Our new, high-tech 3D simulation and construction programme creates smoothsurfaces and new inner constructions for a perfect canopy and ideal load balance. Among other newhandy features we added dirt holes on the parting edge for automatic snow and dirt discharge without thepilot’s help. Dirt holes also buffer the speed and let out the air when the speedrider hits ground. So it’s aconvenient and safe feature which fits our 2 in 1 approach. In line with all JN products, the Hellracer 2 in1 is made of high quality materials to ensure high durability and a longer lifetime. JN use a water resistantcanopy material and high quality processed lines. The lines are oversized and covered with a polyestershield strong enough to ensure that even ski edges can’t do much damage or accidentally cut the lines. When speedriding, the mix of high speed, weightlessness and rhythm is simply fascinating. The kite willcarry the rider’s weight and elegantly glide down slopes, while the rider carves into the snow at times, andflies at others.
